The QR code is on the packaging – the bag already bought is the entry point, no media spend. Three worlds behind one link. Retailers put the code in their shop windows, taking the campaign to the street.
Try it live
A selfie in the campaign frame, right in the browser. The picture goes to people's own social feeds and the early-detection message travels with it. Friends see it, scan it and join in – reach without media spend.

Fans write a greeting in their browser that appears seconds later on the LED wall beside the course. The runner reads her own name mid-race.

What is augmented reality – and what is WebAR?
Augmented reality (AR) blends digital content into the live camera image – a 3D product, a filter or a game. WebAR is augmented reality straight in the browser: users scan a QR code and the experience starts instantly on their smartphone, with no app download. That lowers the entry barrier and raises campaign participation.
Why work with an AR agency like Sensape?
Sensape has been building augmented reality experiences in Leipzig since 2015 for brands such as FC Bayern, PSG, Coca-Cola and Disney – from ready-made WebAR filters to fully custom campaigns. Concept, 3D production, hosting and reporting come from one team, and agencies can get everything white-label.
No – that's the whole point of WebAR. The experience runs directly in the browser of any current smartphone, launched via QR code, link or NFC. No app download, no store approval, no on-site hardware. If you also want to show the experience at POS or at your event, we combine it with our steles and screens – both run on the same platform.
Simple WebAR campaigns based on our templates start at around €3,000. The range extends into six figures for custom-built experiences with 3D content, gamification and international rollout. The levers are the degree of customization, content production and duration. To save costs, choose your delivery path: we provide full service, or you or your agency partner supply the graphics and we integrate them. Tell us your launch date – the quote arrives within 48 hours.
Template-based WebAR campaigns go live in 2 to 4 weeks. For custom experiences with your own 3D content, reach out earlier – then we plan backwards from your launch date. If time is tight, tell us the date anyway: we'll tell you honestly what's feasible.
We are a technology platform, not a competing creative agency – and have worked closely with agencies and event partners for years. Your client relationship is protected: on request we stay fully in the background and deliver white-label, so the activation appears as your work to the end client. You can handle concept and graphics yourself and we integrate them – or we deliver full service from consulting to rollout. You decide where to spend your resources.
Completely. Once campaign goals and brand guidelines are in place – logos, fonts, colors, assets – our design and development teams handle everything: custom 3D modeling, bespoke user interfaces, fully custom design. How deep the customization goes is a budget question, not a technical limit.
WebAR runs in the browser – no app permissions, no install. Every user grants camera access per session. Where images are processed is set to your requirements: entirely on the phone, so no photo ever leaves the device, or in our EU cloud when AI effects or a microsite are needed. Consent, retention and deletion periods are configured per campaign. The DPA and TOM list come with the quote, and if your legal team has questions, we're directly available.
Through any channel that carries a link: QR code on packaging, poster or display, link in social ads, newsletters or NFC tags. One tap – and the camera opens in the browser. No installation, no friction. That's exactly why WebAR campaigns achieve significantly higher participation rates than app-based AR.
WebAR gives you a clear campaign funnel: how many users launched the experience, how usage was distributed across the individual filters, and how often it was shared. This tells you directly which channel drives reach and which creatives perform. Anything beyond that – custom surveys or deeper analysis – we design individually with you, based on what you want to learn.
Yes, that's what it's built for. Data can be captured directly on screen or via WebAR on visitors' smartphones – with modules for newsletter sign-up, prize draws, digital vouchers or delivering the branded photo by email. The incentive is built in: anyone who wants their photo gladly shares their address. For Aldi Süd, exactly this mechanic measurably generated applicant contacts at recruiting fairs.
