What sets the AI photo booth apart from an ordinary photo booth?
A classic photo booth takes a photo with a frame or filter. The AI photo booth generates a new image from the photo: your guests appear inside your brand world, in campaign scenes or in entirely new roles – photorealistic and within seconds. The result gets shared because it surprises. That's exactly why it works as a visitor magnet in spaces where an ordinary photo booth would drown.
What exactly do we get – hardware, software, or both?
Both – and you decide how much of it you need. Our steles and smart mirrors arrive as a ready-made unit for your floor space; renting or buying is possible. If you already have screens, kiosks or permanently installed displays in use, the Sensape Recognition Box is enough: a compact plug-and-play module with AI camera and processor that turns a standard screen into an interactive installation. And for campaigns without hardware on site, we bring the experience to your visitors' smartphones as WebAR.
What does an activation cost?
Simple activations based on our pre-built templates start at around €3,000. The range extends into six figures – for individually developed experiences with multiple systems and worldwide rollout. The three levers are number of systems, rental duration and degree of customization. The biggest way to save is the implementation path: we deliver full service, or you or your agency partner provide the graphics and we integrate them. Tell us your event date and scope – the quote arrives within 48 hours.
How much lead time do we need?
We adapt ready-to-go packages and deliver them within 4 to 6 weeks. For individually developed installations, reach out earlier – then we fit into your event timeline instead of the other way around. If it's tight, tell us the date anyway: we'll tell you honestly what's feasible in the time.
How does working with us as an agency work?
We are a technology platform, not a competing creative agency – and we've worked closely with agencies and event partners for years. Your client relationship is protected: on request we step fully into the background and deliver white-label, so the activation appears as your work to the end client. You can take on concept and graphics yourself and we integrate them – or we deliver full service from consulting to rollout. You decide where to deploy your resources.
Can the experiences be adapted to our clients' brand guidelines?
Completely. Once campaign goals and brand guidelines are in place – logos, fonts, colors, assets – our design and development teams take over everything: custom 3D modeling, custom user interfaces, special stele design. How deep the customization goes is a budget question, not a technical limit.
What about data protection and GDPR?
Recognition runs locally on the device – image material never leaves the installation for analysis, and no permanent personal data is created. Consent, retention periods and deletion deadlines are configured per project to your requirements; on request the activation runs entirely without person recognition, using only touch and motion. We provide the DPA and TOM list with the quote – and if your legal team has questions, we're directly available.
How complex is the on-site setup?
Minimal. The units arrive at your location pre-configured and ready to go. Your on-site team only connects power and internet – the software starts automatically. No technical know-how needed, no long setup times, no technician configuring things on show day.
What data and reports do we get after the campaign?
For every activation we deliver a standard set of KPIs – interactions, dwell time, delivered photos and videos, shares via the microsite – and walk through it with you on request. Beyond that, custom analytics concepts are possible: we've built activations that survey a community's knowledge level or collect product feedback directly at the point of sale. If you have a specific insight goal, we design the mechanics around it.
Can we use the system for lead generation?
Yes, that's what it's built for. Data can be captured directly at the display or via WebAR on visitors' smartphones – with modules for newsletter sign-up, prize draw participation, digital vouchers or delivery of the branded photo by email. The incentive is built in: whoever wants their photo gladly leaves their address. At Aldi Süd, exactly this mechanic measurably generated applicant contacts at recruiting fairs.
