Berlin shopping centre installs augmented reality promoter with European Championship design.
In Havelpark Dallgow near Berlin, visitors can now experience the European Football Championship in an interactive augmented reality world and take home souvenir photos. For this purpose, a digital stele from the Leipzig-based company Sensape is used, which recognises people in front of the camera and displays them on a large screen with 3D elements. The campaign will continue until the end of the European Championship.
"With our photo installation, the fans are in the middle of the European Championship instead of just watching it. Through the AR world, we make a virtual visit to the stadium possible and let them capture the moment by taking a photo and carrying it with them," Michael Lehnert from Sensape explains. The company develops intelligent technologies to target customers based on artificial intelligence and augmented reality. Since mid-June, a football fan experience via augmented reality has also been possible at the ECE Center Havelpark Dallgow. The installation consists of a photo box with a large integrated touch display on which visitors can see themselves. The built-in artificial intelligence recognises visitors in front of the camera and equips them with 3D elements such as hats, glasses, flags or whistles depending on their gender or age. In the interactive world, the elements can be changed by touching them, and a souvenir photo can be taken in the European Championship setting. This can then be printed out or received on a smartphone via QR code. On the smartphone, the photo can be downloaded and shared on social media or with friends at the touch of a button. The campaign will run until the end of the European Championship.
